Hello friend, Happy Friday! I hope this message finds you well. This is the first edition of Letters from Larry G. If you’re wondering what that is click here.
I hope that you’ll stick around as I document my authentic journey to full-time photographer while sharing my thoughts on the world around me.
The format for these will have a greeting (like the one above), a blurb (blog post) in the middle, and my 63lieve (6 from others 3 from me) section at the bottom. I hope you enjoy it.
Thoughts on Consistency
The word consistency has been said over and over and over and over and over and over. In essence, it has been said consistently.
If you didn’t know what it means. I hope you do now. Lol.
But that simple word has been playing in my head consistently.
Whenever I think about starting a new idea it rams its way to the front of my brain and asks “ can you keep this up?”
If the answer is “I don’t know” it may stop me from starting. And that is the negative aspect.
If the answer is “yes” or “maybe” then I’ll give it a go.
But whether or not I can do something on a regular basis doesn’t mean I shouldn’t try.
I should try regardless. I should give myself the grace to fall and mess up and be inconsistent. As long as I’m moving toward the thing, that’s all that really matters.
Consistency is not a short game. It’s not “can you keep this up for a certain amount of time”.
It’s about the long game. And games like life have twists, turns, stops, pauses, fast breaks, ups, downs, and much more.
As long as the needle is moving over a long period of time, that proves progress and a level of consistency.
So try to stay consistent but allow life to flow. Just don’t let the idea of shame in failure stop you from starting.

My brother got a truck. I took a few photos and applied a light edit to them. Nothing special. I’m thinking of cleaning them up and posting online but of course, you get to see them first.
