I am building a community platform for leaders and managers to help them lead with kindness and empathy in a world where harsh leadership tactics and styles dominate.
What is my goal?
The goal of this newsletter is to inspire others to live their truth. I plan to do that by documenting my authentic journey while simultaneously sharing my thoughts on the world around me.
What can you expect?
Here you’ll find updates on my journey, photos that I’ve taken, thoughts on leadership, digital marketing and social media, creativity, music that I’ve been listening to, creators and artists that keep me inspired, and so much more.
Why a newsletter?
Social media, while fun and beneficial can become a cesspool of negativity, comparison culture, and advertisements if you allow it to. I know, I work in marketing. I’m not a huge fan of spending hours on those sites outside of work, but I still crave the social aspect.
Traditional blogs are nice and I’ve started them but the only way to get them out is through social media. This is the never-ending loop.
A newsletter helps break that loop. You don’t have to remember to check a website and you won’t miss it on social media. There’s no middle man.
Who am I and why should you listen to me?
They call me Larry G. I’m a photographer, videographer, digital marketer, musician, writer, and so much more. The shortest version is, I’m a storyteller. I love using photography and video to create content that helps other people tell their stories the way they want to tell them.
I was born and raised around Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I’m married to the love of my life. We have a dog named Khloe and a cat named Hamilton. I love to travel to new places. I have a legitimate weakness for chocolate, Kit Kats to be exact (the Hershey chocolate, not Nestle). Music was my first love. I play guitar, a little piano, and 2 of my tattoos are music-related.
I currently work in digital marketing, but my dream is to be a “professional” photographer and support my family.
