Hey 👋🏾,
Hope you’re doing well! If you’ve got a Sony ZV-E10 or you’re thinking about stepping up your camera game, I’ve got some awesome gear recommendations that’ll really make a difference in your shoots.
I’ve made an entire video about it that you can watch here or keep reading for the details!
1. SD Cards: Don’t Skimp on These
Starting off, let’s talk about SD cards. They might seem basic, but they’re super important. I suggest kicking things off with a 64GB or even better, a 128GB card. I’ve been using SanDisk Extreme Pro cards for a while. They’re affordable and get the job done. Just make sure to grab ones that are V30, U3, and Class 10 to handle all that high-quality video you’ll be shooting.
2. Power: Keep Those Batteries Charged
Nothing's worse than running out of power mid-shoot, right? Most cameras come with just one battery, so do yourself a favor and pick up a few more. I’ve had good luck with Neewer brand batteries and PowerExtra brand batteries. And if you can, get a charger pack that can handle multiple batteries at once – it's a real time-saver.
3. Audio: Make Yourself Heard
The built-in mic on the ZV-E10 is okay for starters, but if you want really clear sound, you should consider an external mic like the Rode Video Micro. For even more freedom, check out the Rode Wireless Go systems. You can clip the mic on and move around without worrying about losing that crisp sound quality.
4. Filters: Your Secret Weapon for Great Shots
Think of filters as your camera’s best friends. They help protect your lens and can seriously upgrade your footage. ND filters are perfect for those bright days when you want to capture a softer background without all that harsh light.
5. Stability: Get a Grip with the Right Tripod
A good tripod can totally change your shooting experience. I’m a big fan of the Joby Gorillapod because it’s so flexible. You can attach it to just about anything or use it traditionally for stable shots. It’s sturdy, reliable, and perfect for on-the-go filming.
Starting with the right accessories can really elevate your filming game, and you don’t have to break the bank to get there.
